Matariki

This is my matariki work that I done this week. This is my picture.

matariki is maori new year it celebrates the cluster of seven stars.  And that has special meaning for maori new year. Matariki is based on myth about seven sisters became tears. Also it tells all about the seven stars and the stars come in early may or late june. You can't see the stars in the morning but you can see it in the night you can't see it in the morning because there is too many light. Also you can’t see it when it is raining.

matariki is when the stars appear in the sky and some people do fire works at that day..And  in matariki  maori people  celebrate  matariki at maori new year.

How to celebrate matariki?

we celebrate matariki as you have a  celebration  about  it , or you have  a festival and a  feast.
